VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT PUMPS
With variable displacement pumps, both the oil flow and the pressure
are adjusted according to the workload. The pumps even reduce the
required engine horsepower for greater fuel economy, as well as
decrease vibration and noise for overall efficient operation.

class excavator, the KX71-3's operating weight is a hefty
6,305 lbs., with track and track shoe widths being 5'1"
and 12" respectively. Although it can compare with the
3-ton class, its overall width has been kept under
5', allowing it to fit through narrow openings.

The KX71-3 presents you with the deepest digging depth of any compact
excavator in its class. Even with its long arm, the KX71-3 generates
the most arm (3,285 lbs.) breakout force and Bucket (6,350 lbs.)
to give you an amazingly efficient excavator performance.
An increased hydraulic oil flow rate of 13.4 GPM enables
the KX71-3 to employ a variety of hydraulic attachments, like
hydraulic hammers and augers. And a wider selection of attachments
means a wider variety of jobs you can accomplish.
DIGITAL PANEL
Informative, interactive and functional. Kubota's all new LCD panel
accurately displays easy to understand diagnostics and digital readings.
When filling-up with fuel, our Intelligent Control System (KICS)
informs the operator that the tank is nearly full, as well as alerts
the operator to when routine maintenance is due. The panel reduces
excavator downtime and repair fees for a decrease in total operating
costs.
Shorter movements mean less effort. Our operating levers
require less arm movement; yet increase control, responsiveness
and comfort. With only the slightest flick of the wrist, the
KX71-3 responds with power and smooth operation to reduce
operator fatigue.
2-SPEED TRAVEL SWITCH
Conveniently mounted on the dozer lever, the 2-Speed Travel Switch
allows advanced user-friendly travel speed changes combined with
an increase in floor space. You get easier operation, plus greater
control and comfort.
Set the new, custom adjustable wrist rests to your favorite
position or just move them out of the way. Either way, they
help reduce arm movement and operator fatigue for increased
comfort and job efficiency.
DOUBLE-OPENING BONNET
Routine maintenance and repairs are quick and easy with our double-opening
bonnet. When both panels are opened, virtually all the components
are within grasp.
The KX71-3 tail swing overhang is only 18". It's
even easier to avoid obstacles that could result in damage
to the machine, opening opportunities to more job sites.
PROTECTED HYDRAULIC HOSES
Hydraulic hoses are routed inside the swing bracket to protect
against damage. You'll get longer service life so that operating
and maintenance costs are reduced
For extended service life and improved visibility, we've
protected the bucket cylinder hoses by routing them through
the arm.
TWO PATTERN SELECTION SYSTEM
(TPSS)
The TPSS selection lever allows the operator to easily choose between
ISO and SAE operating patterns. Perfect for companies, municipalities
or rental yards where multiple operators are common. TPSS maintains
productivity for large excavators or backhoe operators
